Arsenal’s January emergency selection is preferred over Douglas Luiz’s

This season, a number of Arsenal players who were on Mikel Arteta’s senior team
the previous year have left the club on loan. Albert Sambi Lokonga and Nuno
Tavares both left the team in the last days of the summer transfer window.
Lokonga signed a season-long loan with Luton Town without the option to buy. Due to a hamstring injury, he has been
sidelined for a considerable amount of time. However, manager Rob Edwards
has indicated that he would like to sign him permanently.
He remarked, “I really like him; he’s a brilliant guy first and foremost, always
happy, smiling, and great around the place, but he’s also a really good football player.”
Although I hope to collaborate with him for a longer time, I don’t think it will be
entirely up to me. He plays for us, but he also clearly plays for Arsenal, so I believe a lot of things would need to happen.
Thomas Partey and Emile Smith Rowe have both missed significant time due to midfield injuries for Arsenal. Fabio
Vieira recently had surgery on his groin, and Martin Odegaard has only recently
started playing again after dealing with a number of problems.
The Brazilian midfielder, though, is unlikely to leave Villa this winter as they pursue Champions League qualification.
Villa has no intention of letting him go. In light of this, the most sensible option
would be one that is more readily available and less expensive.
Personally, I think Youssef Fofana of Monaco, whose contract in France is
about to expire, would be the best choice for his coverage in both the number six
and eight positions. Nonetheless, there has been little to no hint of a move by the
Gunners for the French international thus far.
Football.london is aware that Tavares’ loan to Nottingham Forest does not contain a clause allowing them to bring
him back at any time this winter, much like Lokonga’s. Oleksandr Zinchenko,
Takehiro Tomiyasu, Jakub Kiwior, and Lino Sousa, a promising young player,
are all readily available at left back, so the position is well-stocked.
Football.london has been informed that, although neither loan move has a recall
clause for them this winter, there may be an opportunity for one or both to return
under special circumstances; however, this would require a mutual agreement
between the two clubs. Because he isn’t getting enough playing time, Chelsea
wants to bring back Andrey Santos, another Forest loanee, in January.
Unlike Lokonga, Tavares has demonstrated that Steve Cooper is not
interested in using him. On the other hand, the
Belgian has only missed games due to injury and is anticipated to return.
