Major injury setback: Club faces “extremely serious” injury setback prior to Aston Villa vs. Bournemouth

Bournemouth suffer ‘really bad’ injury blow ahead of Aston Villa

Lloyd Kelly, a defender for Bournemouth, will be sidelined by injury on Sunday when the team plays Aston Villa in the Premier League, according to Andoni Iraola.

The 25-year-old has made nine appearances in the Premier League this season, starting in each of the Cherries’ three wins over Sheffield United, Burnley, and Newcastle. During Bournemouth’s most recent victory at Bramall Lane, Kelly was substituted by Milos Kerkez at halftime.

After winning their last two league games, Iraola’s team is into Sunday’s game against Villa with less pressure on

their manager. Villa, meanwhile, is aiming for their third straight league

victory as well as three crucial points in their quest for a top five finish this year.

Regarding Kelly’s injury, Iraola stated, “It’s really bad news for Lloyd Kelly.” He

will be out for a few weeks due to a muscular ailment.

He has been doing incredibly well right from the start. He has performed

admirably as a center back and as a side player. He is an excellent defender.

“Obviously, you never want your best players hurt, but every club experiences

this. We need to be prepared to be strong in his absence, and we have excellent options.

“The schedule isn’t ideal because we have a lot of important games coming

up, but we’re hoping that nothing more goes wrong

in training and we’ll have the

same squad available for action this weekend.”
