Breaking news: Manchester United suffer Roberto De Zerbi blow

Manchester United suffer Roberto De Zerbi blow?

According to reports, Manchester United’s chances of acquiring Roberto De

Zerbi, the manager of Brighton & Hove Albion, in the future have been hindered.

According to a previous report, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, a potential investor, was

considering Erik ten Hag’s replacement with the Italian coach.

Ratcliffe is anticipated to complete his minority investment soon; the owner of

INEOS will pay approximately £1.4 billion for a quarter of the team.

Even though there are contradicting reports indicating Ratcliffe does not

intend to fire Ten Hag, speculation about the Dutchman’s future persists.

Out of their 21 competitive games this season, Man United has won 10, drawn

one, and lost 10. They have struggled to find their best form.

After losing to Newcastle United on Saturday, they are currently in seventh

place in the Premier League table and face elimination from the Champions League group stage.

Man United appears to be monitoring De Zerbi’s condition, with Ten Hag under pressure to produce consistent results.

However, Football Insider claims that they have suffered a serious setback to

their hopes of appointing him in the future.

The Brighton board wants to give De Zerbi a new contract because they are

pleased with his work since he was hired in September 2022.

De Zerbi, who has also been connected to Real Madrid, is open to the idea of

staying on the South Coast club past his current contract, which expires in June 2026.

For the first time in the team’s existence, the

Italian led the Seagulls to a sixth-

place result in the previous campaign and European football.

They defeated AEK Athens 1-0 on Thursday away to ensure their

advancement to the Europa League knockout stages.

The Seagulls still have 22 points, which puts them in the top half of the Premier

League table, despite their Sunday loss to Chelsea.
