‘Set a new club record’ – Brighton transfer decision not looking great for Seagulls right now

To say that Deniz Undav is one of the biggest football stars in Germany right now is not hyperbole. The forward has moved past his Brighton & Hove Albion problems since joining VfB Stuttgart on loan during the summer transfer window, and he is gradually gaining more and more supporters.

According to Bild, Undav has “set a new club record” after tallying eight goals in his first ten Bundesliga games. Undaz was especially happy with his most recent goal, which he scored against Werder Bremen over the weekend, since the club had rejected him when he was younger.

The player, who is still owned by Brighton, revealed to Bild that, because

he was raised nearby, he had several family members in the attendance. That

served as additional motivation, as did the German national team, and his list of

demands has been growing over the last few days.

We reported on a German report last week that Stuttgart is happy that the player is available for only €12 million

because of the purchase clause negotiated in the loan.

For a German international, that would be extremely inexpensive, and Brighton may have set the bar a little too low.
