‘Get out of there while you can!’ Ryan Day advice to quit Ohio State

‘Get Out Of There While You Can!’ Paul Finebaum Thinks Ryan Day Should Leave Ohio State Buckeyes

ESPN’s Paul Finebaum believes that Ryan Day needs to get out of Columbus sooner, rather than later.
Ryan Day, the head coach of the Ohio State Buckeyes, is quite the paradox, at least in the eyes of the fan base.
Day became the target of Buckeyes supporters’ wrath on Saturday after his team’s devastating 30-24 loss to the Michigan Wolverines—his third straight in the series.
Which isn’t exactly a shocking development, to be fair. For Ohio State supporters, the coach’s primary responsibility is to defeat “the team up north,” and Day hasn’t succeeded in doing so in the previous three seasons.
Now, ESPN’s Paul Finebaum thinks that Day’s future in Colombus may be in jeopardy following that backlash.
Finebaum stated, “I think he’s got a real problem,” on the Matt Barrie Show. “I dislike the way that lies ahead…I believe he is an excellent coach. However, you cannot lose that match. That says it all. I would leave right away, if you could.”
Day, who has a 56-7 record as the head coach of the Buckeyes, joined the team in 2017 and has led the team since formally succeeding Urban Meyer in 2019.
Day’s Buckeyes have been among the best in the country during that time, winning three Big Ten East titles, two Big Ten titles, and three of his four seasons saw them make it to the College Football Playoffs.
Day led the Buckeyes to a national championship game in 2020, but the Alabama Crimson Tide and Nick Saban prevailed.
