Aston Villa Star Spoken To People At Former Club But Return Not Discussed

Aston Villa full-back Alex Moreno talks with his former team-mates at Real Betis regularly but he has not spoken about a

return to his former club, it has been claimed in Spain.

In the January transfer window of this year, Moreno signed a three-and-a-half-

year contract to join Unai Emery’s team from Real Betis, where he quickly became a vital member of the team.

Moreno has been unlucky to miss the majority of the current season so far, but the Villans are exceeding expectations

this year as they sit third in the Premier League table.

After missing the entire previous season due to a hamstring injury, he returned to action late last month in the Europa Conference League against Legia Warsaw, where he also scored a goal.

Moreno may make a comeback to Real Betis, according to rumors, as the

Spanish team looks to add a left-side full-back in January.

Even though Moreno still keeps in regular contact with his former Real Betis teammates, a discussion about his possible return to Spain has not yet taken place, according to the Spanish daily Estadio Deportivo.

Moreno started 19 games for the Villans from January to May of last year, making the 30-year-old Spaniard Emery’s first choice at left back ahead of Lucas Digne.

With his play in the remaining months of the current season, Moreno will be hoping to regain his starting spot at Villa Park.
