Major injury blow: OKC thunder will be without one of their star player as he sustain a very dangerous injury

OKC Thunder will miss defensive ace against Utah Jazz

Lu Dort left the game on Friday with an ankle injury and will be out against the Jazz on Monday.

The Utah Jazz and the Oklahoma City Thunder will play on Monday, December 11, 2023. The Thunder will be without both their developmental draft pick and their best player on defense in this game. However, Will Hardy’s rotation will be missing two important players for the Utah Jazz.

Oklahoma City is 14-7 overall, 7-3 in their previous ten games, and looking to preserve a 7-4 record at the Paycom Center going into this match. The Utah Jazz come in with a 7–15 record, having only won 3–7 of their previous 10 games—including two straight losses—and a pitiful 1–10 record away from home.

The OKC Thunder will be without their defensive ace, while the Jazz miss their All-Star in a must-win showdown.

The Oklahoma City Thunder will be without Keyontae Johnson (G League Assignment) and defensive standout Lu Dort (ankle) for this game.

Lu Dort sustained an ankle injury on Friday and had to leave the Golden State Warriors overtime victory. Dort went straight into the Locker room for a brief period of time after suffering two painful

sit-downs on the floor before getting back into the game to finish it out.

Dort is now listed as out, and when Mark Daigneault speaks to the media shortly

before tip-off, more details about the injury will become available.

The All-Star Lauri Markkanen (hamstring), Walker Kessler (foot), Micah Potter (G League), Josh Christopher (G League), Brice Sensabaugh (G League), and Johnny Juzang (G League) will be missed by the Utah Jazz.

John Collins is listed by the Jazz as questionable due to a medical condition. We’ll make a decision about his status closer to kickoff.

This game should be regarded as a must-win at home because the OKC Thunder can start Cason Wallace in lieu of Lu Dort and are healthy overall.

The Thunder are facing a challenging five-game stretch that includes two straight road games against the Kings and Nuggets. Good teams take care of business against losing teams.
