The Eagles vs. Seahawks game was rescheduled for Monday night and has significant playoff implications for both teams.

Seahawks plus-1; Eagles minus-4 in turnover differential

Jalen Hurts, the quarterback, is an Eagles player to watch. For the first time since 2021, Hurts has dropped his last two starts. It was his first game of the season without a touchdown against Dallas. With 197 passing yards and 30 rushing yards, he completed just 18 of 27 passes. The Eagles have not dropped back-to-back games by more than 20 points since Chip Kelly took over as head coach in 2015. In a lopsided loss to the Niners, Hurts had to have a concussion checked despite playing with a bruised left knee. Hurts might no longer have faith in a few of his receivers. Of his 27 passing attempts, he only targeted Dallas Goedert, DeVonta Smith, and A.J. Brown.

WR DK Metcalf of the Seahawks is player to watch. He has had fun playing against the Eagles in his past two games. Metcalf had seven catches for 160 yards and touchdown in the 2019 playoffs. He caught 10 passes for 177 yards in regular-season victory the next season. Last week, Metcalf gained attention for taking retaliatory stance against San Francisco’s Fred Warner, which resulted in small altercation and his dismissal towards the end of the 49ers game. Seattle could have used another strong performance from him against the Eagles after he only managed two catches against the Niners.

KEY MATCHUP: Can the Eagles offense get back on track against Seattle´s porous defense? Philadelphia´s offense has not looked right the past two weeks against San Francisco and Dallas. The Eagles’ only touchdown in the loss to the Cowboys was a defensive score. But Seattle could be the get-right game for Philly. The Seahawks gave up 527 yards and 9.94 yards per play last week to San Francisco. Only Miami in its 70-point outburst against Denver averaged more yards per play in a single game this season.

ESSENTIAL MATCHUP: Can Seattle’s brittle defense allow the Eagles offense to get back on track? Against San Francisco and Dallas over the last two weeks, Philadelphia’s offense has not looked well. In the Eagles’ defeat to the Cowboys, their lone touchdown came from defense. However, Seattle might be Philly’s best game going forward. Last week, the Seahawks allowed San Francisco 527 yards and 9.94 yards per play. This season, only Miami’s 70-point explosion against Denver had a higher average yards per play in a single game.
