Team news for Brentford clash

Douglas Luiz and Lucas Digne, who are suspended, will not travel with Aston Villa to Brentford on Sunday. Youri Tielemans and Leon Bailey are also questionable.

 

During last weekend’s 1-0 victory against Arsenal, midfielder Luiz and left-back Digne received their fifth bookings of the year, which carries an automatic one-match suspension.

 

Due to injuries, Tielemans and Bailey were unable to play in Thursday’s Europa Conference League match against HŠK Zrinjski. They will be evaluated prior to traveling to west London.

 

Along with Tyrone Mings and Emi Buendía, who have been missing for a long time, Robin Olsen and Bertrand Traoré are still not back.

 

During the pregame press conference on Friday, Unai Emery stated, “Tielemans and Leon Bailey are both doubts.”

 

“Traoré and Olsen are out. Douglas Luiz and Lucas Digne are the two suspended players. Extended Tyrone Mings and Emi Buendía sustained injuries

 

We will hold off on playing the players from yesterday till tomorrow.

After facing Zrinjski in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the middle of the week, head coach Emery will keep an eye on his team before the Premier League matchup against the Bees.

 

The Spaniard will evaluate his team as the Villans get ready for their most recent test. This will be the team’s seventh game in 22 days.

 

“We have injured players and some players who are a little bit tired, so it’s really tough for us to know how we can play Brentford on Sunday,” he remarked.

 

“We will find out tomorrow if they will be ready on Sunday.

 

“It’s critical to make an effort to rest.

 

“All we can do is sleep, and we’ll get ready for the game with the following morning. There will be really competitive players ready to test on Sunday.

 

“We are up for the challenge of playing away from home, and the players are

mentally prepared as they know how we can perform on Sunday and maintain our strong position in the standings.”
