Injury Report: Jets Missing Key Offensive Line Pieces, Miami’s Luck No Better

New York rookie Carter Warren misses another practice while two Dolphins’ starters remained sidelined
The offensive line of the New York Jets is still being battered by injuries.
Three current starters are suffering with injuries that have put them on the
official injury report ahead of the away game against the Miami Dolphins on
December 17. Two starters from Week 1 have been out of the season since
October. Carter Warren, a rookie right tackle, missed practice for the second
straight day. at the meanwhile, on Thursday at Florham Park, tackle/guard
Max Mitchell and center Joe Tippmann had a limited role.
Due to a hip ailment, Warren, who made his NFL debut at right tackle in Week 13, did not play in the victory over Houston. The youngster selected in the fourth round could miss his next game in a row.
The Jets’ head coach Robert Saleh stated on Wednesday, “Carter Warren won’t participate today. We’ll get more information on that as the week goes to see his availability.”
Before playing again against the Texans, Tippmann had to miss six offensive snaps due to an injury.
On Monday, Saleh remarked, “Joe Tippmann, he will be fine, he had a little calf contusion.”
In addition to Warren, Mitchell, who started at right tackle in the victory over Houston, also sustained a knock. Before leaving the game with a neck injury, he played 44 snaps. Billy Turner, an experienced player, covered 24 plays.
Saleh stated on Monday, “Max Mitchell is dealing with a stinger, he should be good to go.”
Jason Brownlee, a rookie receiver selected undrafted, was again a DNP for the Jets. Due to an ankle problem, starting running back Breece Hall has been limited in each of the last two sessions and is still listed on the injury report.
John Franklin-Myers, the defensive end for the Jets, was promoted to a limited participant on Thursday.
The Dolphins, meanwhile, are no strangers to injuries. Liam Eichenberg and Robert Hunt, the starting offensive linemen, haven’t worked out yet this week. Tyreek Hill, an All-Pro wide
receiver, has also missed time while trying to heal from an ankle strain he
suffered on Monday night. De’Von Achane, a rookie running back, was also
a DNP due to injury. In the Dolphins’ defeat to Tennessee, center Connor
Williams suffered a season-ending injury.
