Just in: Brighton target is set to depart his current club as he bid farewell to the fans

‘Everything indicates’ Brighton target will be leaving next year – Seems to send farewell message to fans

Piero Quispe, a target for Brighton & Hove Albion, has sent a farewell note to the supporters of Universitario, stating that “everything indicates” that he will be leaving the team next year.

Journalist Gustavo Peralta Coelho, who recently spoke with the young player for

L1 Radio after their 2-0 victory in the Peruvian Primera Division Grand Final, claims as much.

Quispe has been associated with numerous Premier League clubs, who

are rumored to be interested in signing him, after he left the Peruvian team.

Brighton is the most prominent of them; this year, stories have often connected

them to a relocation following the rejection of alleged €10 million bid.

Since then, rumors about their interest in the 22-year-old have grown, and at the

end of last month, journalist Christian Martín revealed that they were

frequently sending scouts to observe him play in Peru.

It’s unknown if Brighton was there for his final game of the season, but in remarks made following it, the player

seemed to suggest that his tenure with Universitario was drawing to an end.

When asked explicitly if he was going to stay in 2024 or not, he replied, “Ehhh, I

just have to thank the people for the love they have always given me and all my colleagues.”

“Only God knows what lies ahead in 2019; I just want to express my gratitude

to everyone for their tremendous support.”

“I want to thank each and every one of you for your love and support, which has not only been extended to me but to all of my coworkers. You truly deserve this championship, therefore here it is for you.
