Star players for Leicester City are not available for this weekend’s match against Millwall.

Due to injuries, none of Leicester City’s strikers or wingers will be available for selection against Millwall.

Due to the short turnaround to the midweek match, none of the unexpected absences from City’s victory over

Plymouth over the weekend—Jamie Vardy (knee), Kelechi Iheanacho (illness),

Kasey McAteer (hamstring), and Yunus Akgun—have recovered in time.

Although Enzo Maresca had hinted that Yunus might return, he reaffirmed on

Tuesday afternoon that none of the four would return

Callum Doyle (knee) is still out, but Ricardo Pereira, who was given a one-

match suspension for receiving five yellow cards, will return to action. Other

than that, this is the same team that triumphed over Plymouth on Saturday.

When asked about his injured players during his press conference on Tuesday

afternoon, Maresca stated, “They’re going to be out, all of them.” “It’s still a

minor issue for Vardy.” The fact that we played two days ago is the only issue. Thus, hopefully, he can return very soon.

Once more, Maresca will have to decide between Patson Daka and Tom Cannon up front because Vardy and Iheanacho are still out. On Saturday, Daka was given the go-ahead and scored, but Cannon, who had been out for three months due to a back problem that was found during his medical, looked impressive coming off the bench in his debut.

Ben Nelson made his league debut for the team the day after agreeing to a new contract, and Dennis Praet also returned from injury over the weekend. On Wednesday night, both are anticipated to be in the squad once more.
