Graeme Souness delivers the predicted hiring of Michael Beale to Sunderland, despite his skepticism.

Graeme Souness delivers sceptical Michael Beale to Sunderland verdict with appointment expected

Graeme Souness has spoken about the Michael Beale to Sunderland talk.

Graeme Souness, a former manager of Rangers and Newcastle United, has offered his assessment on the Michael Beale to Sunderland conversation.

Beale hasn’t had a job since leaving Rangers in October of last year, but he’s

become the apparent favorite to succeed Tony Mowbray and should start at the

Stadium of Light soon, barring any unforeseen circumstances.

Souness told the Daily Mail, “I suspect that job will be just as difficult as it was at Rangers. Michael Beale looks set to take over as the new head coach at Sunderland.”

“Going to Scotland was a risk, and it did not turn out well for him. In that regard, Sunderland will be comparable—a sizable team with lofty goals.

In actuality, they are a Premier League club. And he’ll play in the FA Cup versus Newcastle in one of his opening matches? I hope the best for him!”
