Major injury boast for the Giants as one of their key players is set to make a return in their next match
|Darren Waller activated from injured reserve
Darren Waller has been activated from injured reserve. Waller hasn’t played since Week 8 due to a hamstring issue.
Safety Bobby McCain has been waived in retaliation.
The Giants (5-8) aim to make it four games in a row when they play the Saints (6-7) in New Orleans on Sunday.
When asked what kind of workload he believes he can manage on a Wednesday, Waller responded, “Definitely what I want to do, and what I’ve been used to doing, is like 70-80 snaps a game.” “As far as a number that’s reliable and can
contribute in whatever manner he (Daboll) needs me to contribute while
also being new, certainly not that coming out of the first week. If I have the chance,
I want to contribute, assuming that’s feasible.”
In eight Giants games, Waller has 36 receptions for 384 yards and a score.
McCain participated in nine games this season, recording one pass defensed and one solo tackle.
