Sad news:jets star suffered a dreadful, disastrous injury in a defeat against the miami dolphins that might keep him out for a lengthy period of time

REPORT: New York Jets’ Zach Wilson Suffers Injury In Loss Vs. Miami Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins handed the New York Jets a heartbreaking defeat on

Sunday. The Jets’ prospects of making the playoffs were dashed after they were

shut out 30-0 by the Dolphins in a genuinely poor display.

To make matters worse, starting quarterback Zach Wilson had a worrying injury that prevented him from playing

for the remainder of the game and may keep him out for several more.

New York Jets Rule Zach Wilson Out Vs. Dolphins

Wilson left the blowout on Sunday before halftime and was subsequently unable to come back. According to early accounts, the 24-year-old went to the locker room to replenish his fluids. Wilson was then said to have had an injury of some kind, which was not considered a concussion at the time.

The Jets didn’t declare their starting quarterback out of the game until much later on in the game due to a concussion:

Wilson may lose time and will be subject to the league’s concussion protocol as a result of this.

Wilson completed 14 of 26 passes for 110 yards at the end of the game. He was sacked at least four times and had two interceptions.

Jets’ Playoff Hopes Are Done

With this crushing defeat, New York’s dreams of making the playoffs were officially dashed. They are now third in the AFC East with a 5-9 record. In their division, the only team with a lower record than the Jets is the 3-11 New England Patriots.

Aaron Rodgers most likely won’t be back this season because New York is no longer in the running for the playoffs. It was widely anticipated that the four-time MVP would recover from his Achilles injury in time for the Jets’ postseason run, but that is no longer possible.
