Auburn lands Duke linebacker transfer Dorian Mausi

Through the transfer portal, the Tigers expanded their defensive roster by adding a linebacker. On Wednesday afternoon, Duke transfer linebacker Dorian Mausi made his commitment to Auburn.

 

Hugh Freeze, the head coach of Auburn, revealed the information on Wednesday at a press conference.

 

After spending four seasons with the Blue Devils, Mausi made his way into the transfer market in December. Mausi proved to be a seasoned transfer for the Tiger defense by the end of the Duke regular season, having recorded 20 career starts and 1,659 career snaps.

In his final season at Duke, Mausi totaled 61 tackles with a season high 14 tackles in the Blue Devils’ contest against conference opponent Florida State. Mausi recorded six starts this season, ending with 3.5 TFL.

Mausi appeared in 11 games and made six starts during his Blue Devils career in 2022. In eight games during the 2022 season, he registered at least three tackles, one QB pressure, one TFL, and 44 tackles.

 

Mausi recorded two TFL, one forced fumble, one QB pressure, and at least

three tackles in 11 games during the 2021 season. He started in 11 games and ended fourth on the team in tackles (59).

 

After completing his studies at Detroit Jesuit High School, Mausi was ranked as

the No. 57 outside linebacker in the country and as a 3-star prospect
