Astonishing:Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes gets ‘magician’ comparison from Raiders star player

Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes gets ‘magician’ comparison from Raiders DB

Jack Jones is hoping to wave a magic wand and ruin the latest installment of the Patrick Mahomes-Chiefs show.

Three weeks ago, the Las Vegas Raiders were defeated by the Kansas City Chiefs 31-17, but they seem certain that they have a strategy to slow down Patrick Mahomes on Christmas Day. Well-known final remarks, or is cornerback Jack Jones missing something?

Ahead of the Raiders’ Week 16 matchup with the Chiefs on Thursday, Jones declared the team’s winning formula. Mahomes is the sorcerer. Thanks to Vic Tafur of The Athletic, Jones stated, “You stop the magician, you stop the act.”

Although Jones was referring to the poor performance of the Chiefs’ wide receivers this season, he unintentionally revealed why the Chiefs are so tough to beat, even when the offense surrounding Mahomes is having trouble.

Sure, stopping Mahomes would be the key to Las Vegas pulling off the upset. But how many teams do we see pull that magic trick off? The fact that stopping Mahomes is the most identifiable and obvious way to win for the Raiders doesn’t make it any easier or any less likely.

Curtains for Mahomes, Chiefs offense?

That Andy Reid’s club is on pace to win its eighth consecutive divisional championship is nothing short of a little miracle. That “act” Jones mentioned in relation to Mahomes? In 2023, it has been terrible.

Mahomes’ wide receivers are prone to dropping passes and interfering with

other aspects of the scheme Reid and Mahomes are attempting to run.

The magic Mahomes can consistently work is what keeps the Chiefs offense as deadly as it is, even when they lose talent at wideout every offseason.

The mere fact that Mahomes does something frequently does not make it easy to stop or make it less challenging.

Jones is entirely accurate in his statement. To have a chance to defeat the Chiefs, stop Mahomes. Jack, it’s easier said than done.
