The Seattle Seahawks defeated the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday night to revive their season in Week 15. Seattle ended their three-game losing streak with the 20-17 victory, moving them up to a 7-7 record.

The Seahawks are currently one spot behind the 7-7 Minnesota Vikings in the NFC, as the eighth seed. The Vikings hold the last NFC playoff position.

Seattle would miss out on any tiebreaker scenarios as a result of their two losses to the Los Angeles Rams. In order to avoid losing to the Rams before the season ends, the ‘Hawks need to win their final three games.

Moreover, in head-to-head tiebreakers, the Vikings prevail over the Seahawks. Between now and Week 18, Seattle needs Minnesota to lose at least once.

The good news for Seattle, though, is that their schedule is still far more accommodating than Minnesota’s or Los Angeles’. The Seahawks are limited to winning their final three games and hoping that other teams lose. That’s the only way the Seahawks can make the playoffs.
