Just in:Insider reveals There is more finger-pointing in the Philadelphia Eagles locker room; Jalen Hurts’ behavior

Jalen Hurts, the quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles, has come under fire

in a recent leak to the Philadelphia Inquirer from the team’s locker room for

his stoic attitude during a difficult period of hardship for the reigning NFC Champions.

Reports surfaced last week alleging that during the Eagles’ 10-3 season, there was

“finger-pointing” amongst teammates. After blowing a lead against the Seattle Seahawks on Monday Night Football in

Week 15, the Eagles lost their third straight game, and things aren’t getting any better.

Eagles teammates, according to Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer, are

not happy with how Hurts has carried out the leadership responsibilities in the locker room this season:

Hurts undoubtedly possesses a great deal of the intangibles needed to be a top

quarterback, including exceptional running and passing skills, a sincere

work ethic, and the will to put in the necessary effort to be the best. However, according to team sources, the Eagles

want their franchise quarterback to be a little more forthcoming in the locker room.

Players hold Hurts in high regard. He is not a concern for the team off the field. The Eagles want him to be true to himself, but they also want him to learn

when to step outside of himself and show leadership, especially when times are difficult.

Given how Hurts persevered through illness to play against the Seahawks on Monday night, the timing of the report

seems a little off. It seems, though, that McLane was not satisfied with Hurts’ contributions to the Eagles.

It makes sense that players are frustrated with the Eagles situation because they won’t be happy until they win. The Eagles’ disappointment at not

winning the Super Bowl the previous year has also left them with a grudge. If they wish to exact revenge for that defeat

in February, though, the attitude that has recently been revealed to the media from the locker room is concerning.

Philadelphia’s problem isn’t injuries. The issue is any Eagles player who thinks

Hurts needs to speak up more to get them excited. Nick Sirianni needs to take swift action to silence these naysayers.
