Today reports that the Atlanta Braves and Baltimore Orioles are thought to be the front-runners:

In the Tyler Glasnow trade, the Dodgers sent promising young starter Ryan Pepiot to the Tampa Bay Rays, disappointing the

Chicago White Sox, who are shopping for ace Dylan Cease. In their previous trade discussions with the Dodgers, they showed a great deal of interest in Pepiot.

Following their trades of Mike Soroka and Kyle Wright, the Braves are making

room in their rotation for 2024, which is expected to include Charlie Morton, Max Fried, Spencer Strider, and Bryce Elder.

Cease did not have a fantastic 2023 season, but he has a lot of talent that could be unlocked in a better organization.

He would be either second or third in Atlanta’s rotation. In addition, the 27-year-old is a native of Milton, Georgia,

and the Braves have already signed Aaron Bummer, a reliever who plays for the White Sox.
