Falcons HC Breaks Silence After Getting Fined By The NFL

With a 6-8 record, the Atlanta Falcons may be a little behind right now, but they are still in the running for the playoffs.

This weekend they take on the Indianapolis Colts, who have been playing very well lately. Then, they play the New Orleans Saints on the road to finish the regular season. The Saints are currently 7-8 after losing to the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday.

The NFL penalized Atlanta head coach Arthur Smith for not disclosing to players earlier in the season that rookie running back Bijan Robinson was unwell.

According to ProFootballTalk, he acknowledged that he had learned his

lesson and understood the league’s perspective.

Robinson has been the Falcons’ most potent weapon thus far this season, with

801 running yards, 323 receiving yards, and seven touchdowns in total through 14 games.

The Falcons are a rather poor offensive club overall, but because of Robinson’s output, they are tenth in the NFL in terms of rushing yards.

In the passing game, he has received some assistance, particularly from second-year wide receiver Drake London, who has two touchdowns and 769 yards.

Since they lost a 25-point lead against the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl in 2017, Atlanta has not made it to the postseason. Since then, they have also failed to finish with a winning record.
