Ipswich was completely outclassed by Leeds star who won 100% of his duels, with 76 touches and 90% pass success.

Leeds United won perhaps their best victory of the Daniel Farke era on

Saturday lunchtime, snapping a two-game losing streak in the Championship.

The Whites faced a formidable Ipswich Town team, who entered the holiday

weekend ranked second in the league, in a pre-Christmas match

Nevertheless, Leeds romped to a 4-0 victory at Elland Road, making them

appear to be the recently promoted team that everyone had anticipated they would be this season.

The game was effectively over at halftime, as goals from Pascal Struijk and Crysencio Summerville, respectively,

followed Leif Davis’ own goal against his former employers, guaranteeing a 3-0 lead at the interval.

Joel Piroe’s goal seven minutes into the half was all that was needed to send Leeds supporters into Christmas with a sense of festive cheer.

Having said that, Joe Rodon’s performance should be recognized in addition to the goals scored on Saturday.

On days such as these, Rodon’s play in the Premier League for Tottenham makes sense when you watch him.

This was a superb performance, and once Leeds took a lead, he would have little to do to finish the game

However, the Welshman, who had to do some defending in the first half, didn’t always have an easy afternoon. Phil Hay,

who was quick to announce his aerial prowess, pointed out a period towards the end of the first half.

Leeds Live reporter Beren Cross gave the performance an 8 out of 10 rating, saying

this: “During the first 25 minutes, when the visitors were at their most dangerous, Rodon was superb in

mopping up the danger that fell to him around the box. Never really bothered to raise his score further after that.”

The 26-year-old’s performance was best demonstrated by the fact that he

prevailed in all of his defensive duels during the match, including two aerial encounters.

In addition to displaying his bravery during the match, Rodon also displayed his expert composure, completing 90% of

his passes and logging 76 touches—the second-highest number of any Leeds player after goal scorer Struijk
