Dan Campbell, the coach of the Detroit Lions, is still the epitome of leadership in

every aspect. Following the team’s thrilling victory over the Minnesota Vikings, which resulted in the team’s first

divisional title in thirty years, Campbell entered the locker room and demonstrated his leadership skills.

The team’s seasoned leaders, who Campbell referred to as “the old guards,”

were gathered and positioned in the middle of the space. This group included Frank Ragnow, Taylor Decker, Jalen

Reeves-Maybin, Tracy Walker, Graham Glasgow, Will Harris, Romeo Okwara, and Don Muhlbach.

Like us fans, these players have been a part of this organization for many years

and have seen some of the worst and most frustrating times in the history of

this team. But despite everything, each and every one of these players gave it their all, stuck by the team, and are now

a part of the most memorable season in this franchise’s history—at least three decades.

As a player, Campbell is aware that athletes, especially veterans whose

careers may be nearing their conclusion rather than just getting started, are constantly chasing moments such as

these. He then gathered them and gave them recognition for their diligence, tolerance, and tenacity.

“It’s always special to do something like what we just did,” Campbell said. “Dude, it doesn’t matter. They’re unique

regardless of how many you win in a row. But I can tell you this: man, it’s

special when you’re a part of the organization and we haven’t won a fucking championship in thirty years.

These guys have been waiting and fucking dying for it. Baby, it’s for you. You get the first one.

Coach made an incredibly elegant and astute gesture.

Watch as Decker dismantles the team in an incredible speech—as if that video wasn’t enough. The finest aspect

“Now, we’re respected by everyone, and we should be feared by everyone.”
