Transfer gossip: Crystal Palace, Fulham and Nottingham Forest are showing interest in a Sunderland player ahead of January.

According to multiple rumors prior to January, the Premier League is interested in Sunderland’s Pierre Ekwah, a former West Ham midfielder.

Several Premier League clubs are reportedly “catching the eye” on the 21-year-old. The Evening Standard reports that while Sunderland is eager to hold

onto the young French player, Crystal Palace, Fulham, and Nottingham Forest

are all keeping an eye on him as 2023 draws to a close.

Ekwah arrived at the Black Cats from West Ham at the beginning of the season. He had a difficult start to his career at Sunderland before concluding the previous campaign under former head coach Tony Mowbray.

The midfielder’s contract is said to feature a sell-on clause, and Stuttgart of the Bundesliga is one of the teams who

reportedly expressed interest in him during the summer. The midfielder is

also believed to have attracted substantial attention from other teams

on the day of the previous summer’s transfer deadline.
