Bad news:Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni might leave the club as he looks like he’s losing his team, the eagles are not satisfied with his service
|Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni looks like he’s losing his team
In his short tenure as head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles, Nick Sirianni has produced amazing outcomes.
With three consecutive NFL playoff berths (including 2023) under his belt, a Super Bowl victory in his second season, and ten straight victories in the first eleven games of the season, Sirianni is currently in his third season as an NFL head coach.
But after that, the Eagles dropped their next three games before eventually winning on Christmas Day against the New York Giants. But following their first victory in four weeks, none of the Eagles appeared to be particularly jubilant.
Not Nick Sirianni, who, near the end of the Eagles’ 33-25 triumph, lost control
and shouted at his players and assistant coaches on the sidelines.
And not the players, some of whom declined to speak to the media after their first victory in four weeks.
Then there’s Sirianni’s postgame locker room speech, which was met with
nothing more than a tepid response from the players.
It all begs the question: Has Nick Sirianni lost his team? from the stressful moments on the sidelines to the latest scandal surrounding the squad to the players’ reaction in the locker room.
Too much drama with Nick Sirianni’s Eagles
The Eagles had the best record in the NFL coming into December, and they were riding high after winning the Super Bowl a year earlier. They could not stop talking about how the team’s winning mentality helped them pull off four victories in a row when they were close to losing.
But ever since suffering their first of three straight losses to the San Francisco 49ers, the Eagles have appeared and sounded like a fractured club.
Nick Sirianni made the decision to replace defensive coordinator Sean Desai with Matt Patricia as the play-caller in an attempt to revitalize their faltering defense.
In the fourth quarter, the Eagles struggled to shut out the Giants on the field. They were attempting to stop the Giants from driving for the game-tying score when Sirianni’s sideline explosion occurred.
In the final moments, the Eagles were able to preserve the victory with an interception; nonetheless, following the game, DeVonta Smith, an Eagles receiver, expressed his dissatisfaction, saying, “We’re not playing good football right now.”
