Unbelievable:With the Music City Bowl approaching, Auburn football is struggling with a “run of sickness.

Auburn football dealing with ‘run of sickness’ ahead of Music City Bowl

Auburn quarterback Payton Thorne claimed to media in Nashville on Wednesday that he had the flu and missed all but one of the team’s Music City Bowl sessions on campus before the break for Christmas.

Thorne was available at Vanderbilt’s practice field prior to the team’s first on-site practice there on Tuesday, when Auburn arrived in Nashville.

Prior to the Music City Bowl, which is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Saturday at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Thorne

stated that he feels well. Following his absence from the field during last week’s

media viewing window, Thorne worked out on Wednesday.

However, Thorne’s flu-like symptoms are a result of a slight illness that the squad is experiencing before their game versus Maryland, according to head coach Hugh Freeze.

Indeed, Freeze admitted on Wednesday, “We’ve had a run of sickness.” “Today, we also left two guys at the hotel.” Last week, there were several individuals who missed practice due to flu-like symptoms. Thorne appears to be in good health, however it would be beneficial to

let him to go outside and maybe catch him today and tomorrow. Although I

haven’t checked the forecast for tomorrow, I can say that today is an

excellent day for him to get in some decent practice because last week, he

did, in fact, miss all but one day of practice.

It was not stated by Freeze which players were still feeling ill or knowing someone other than Thorne who faced with illness.
