Hugo Lloris, the former captain and goalkeeper for Tottenham Hotspur, is

expected to sign a permanent contract to become a member of Los Angeles FC in the Major League Soccer.

After “verbal agreements” were reached between all parties, Lloris, 37, will sign a

one-year contract with the option to extend, ending his 11-year tenure with Tottenham.

The contract of the former captain and France international is approaching its

last six months; it will expire at the end of the current campaign.

Since the strange 6-1 loss to Newcastle United in April, Lloris has not been in the starting lineup for a matchday this

season. He is currently ranked behind Fraser Forster and Guglielmo Vicario, the first-choice goalie.

Lloris expressed a wish to leave Tottenham after more than ten years with the team, but a move to that effect

did not happen last summer after he was left out of the team’s preseason tour of Australia and Asia.

In January, he is scheduled to depart the team on a free transfer. Documents are currently being prepared, according to Romano.

Let’s go, Hugo Lloris to LAFC! All parties have reached a verbal agreement, and Lloris, who is leaving the Spurs after 11

years, has been assured it’s a permanent deal, according to Romano. Recognize that Lloris has agreed to a one-year

contract with LAFC, with the option to extend for another year. Documents will soon be available.

Lloris became a vital member of Spurs

after joining the team for £11 million from Lyon in 2012. He has made 447

appearances since then, winning the captain’s armband in 2015, and keeping 151 clean sheets during that time.

Even though he helped the Lilywhites advance to the 2019 Champions League

final, veteran goalkeeper Cup has not yet won a trophy with the team.

Following the loss of captaincy post Ange Postecoglou’s arrival at Tottenham, the seasoned goalkeeper explored an exit in

the summer, engaging in discussions with Serie A’s Lazio. Despite talks, a move to Italy did not go through.

Now, there are advanced negotiations between the goalkeeper and Los Angeles

FC for a transfer to the MLS which is nearing completion.

The goalkeeper and Los Angeles FC are currently in advanced talks about a

potential transfer to the Major League Soccer (MLS), which is almost certain to happen.

With the January transfer window about to open, there is growing speculation at

Tottenham that Lloris is leaving soon. An official confirmation is expected shortly.
