After missing yet another practice, Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray’s status for Week 17 is uncertain.

Kyler Murray, the quarterback for the Cardinals, missed yet another practice due to illness, casting further doubt on his availability for the Eagles.

The so-called “holiday bug” that The Arizona Cardinals quarterback still holds

a special place in Kyler Murray’s heart. Due to illness, Murray missed practice on Thursday for the second straight day,

which increased the uncertainty surrounding his availability for Sunday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

While speaking with reporters prior to his team’s game, head coach Jonathan

Gannon—who is in his first season with Arizona after previously serving as the Eagles’ defensive coordinator—didn’t

seem overly concerned about the fifth-year pro’s illness. Murray didn’t practice with the Cardinals on Wednesday.

According to Tyler Drake of Arizona Sports, Gannon remarked to reporters, “Kyler’s under the weather.” “He’s got the holiday bug, so he’s not going out.”

Since making his 2023 debut, Murray has provided the Cardinals offense with a much-needed boost. Murray missed the first nine games of the season due to his

ongoing recovery from an ACL tear. In the last six games, he has completed 62.3% of his passes for 1,305 yards, six

touchdowns, and four interceptions. He has also gained 187 yards and three touchdowns on the ground.

Arizona, which is just 3-12 overall this season, is 2-4 when Murray is in the middle. During that time, the team has averaged 20.7 points per game, which

isn’t particularly impressive but is still much better than its 16.8 average from the first nine games of 2023.
