Star player talks about his decision to quit Aston Villa, saying, “I needed game time.

‘I needed game time’ – Hull City ace opens up about decision to leave Aston Villa

Jaden Philogene, a promising player for Hull City, stated that he left Aston Villa in order to get consistent playing time this season.

On the last day of the summer transfer window, Hull City made a surprise move to acquire the winger, and he has since grown to be one of their most valuable assets.

Though he is presently out due to injury, Philogene, 21, has easily adjusted to life in East Yorkshire and is anticipated to return for the Tigers later in the next month.

According to an article by The Sun, he spoke candidly about his decision to move to the MKM Stadium, saying, “I

needed game time.” I felt that this was the best chance to continue playing

because at my age, I can’t just sit on the bench. It goes without saying that you

must be doing something right if you’re able to connect with the clubs I do.

However, you must not allow that to enter your mind since that is when concentration wanes. You will achieve everything if you continue to put in the effort and stay competitive.

“The Championship is unpredictable,” he continued. Everyone can defeat anybody, but we have a chance to advance to the playoffs if we maintain our composure and work as a team.

“Liam Rosenior, the gaffer, has been a big assistance to me here. He advises me to be confident, play my own game, and be myself, and it seems to be working.

Hull City ace impressing

Philogene has made 14 appearances in all competitions for Hull this season and has chipped in with six goals and five assists.

Due to Sunderland’s superior goal differential, the Tigers are now outside the top six, but his form has helped them remain in the running for the play-offs.
Along with club teammates Liam Delap and Tyler Morton, the England youth international is presently playing for the
Under-21 squad. His contract is set to expire in the summer of 2016, although
Liam Rosenior’s team has the option to extend it by an additional 12 months.
Before capturing the attention of Aston Villa while participating in the Pro:Direct
Academy, Philogene was a young player on the books at Brentford.
The Londoner later made six appearances in the Midlands team’s first
team and also spent time on loan at Stoke City and Cardiff City to gain experience.
During their preseason trip to America earlier this year, he was a regular for
Unai Emery’s team. However, on September 1st, he was sold when the
Tigers were able to complete the transfer, and he hasn’t looked back.
