AC Milan reverses course on its January signing of a Real Betis player.

With his contract set to expire next summer, Juan Miranda, 23, has reportedly agreed to sign with AC Milan,

meaning that this season will most likely be his last as a Real Betis player. Instead, it has been anticipated that he will leave

in January, with the Italian powerhouses having to pay a premium to have him go six months ahead of schedule.

But over the past week, it appears that things have changed in this regard.

According to Estadio Deportivo, Milan has now decided against signing Miranda

at this time because they cannot afford to pay Betis’ asking price for a January transfer.

This could mean that Betis’s future takes a different turn, which would be significant for Miranda. According to ED, the former Barcelona left-back could stay at the Andalusian club if they significantly increase their contract offer, despite the reports that he will join Milan next summer.

Although it is still unclear whether Miranda will join Milan in the summer, it appears unlikely given Real Betis’ ongoing financial difficulties. We’ll have to wait and see how this develops.
