Sam Jackson V, a former Cal quarterback, is signed by Auburn as a wide receiver.

Sam Jackson V, a former Cal player, was added by Auburn as a transfer for the 2024 class. Jackson, a five-game

quarterback for the Golden Bears the previous season, signed a wide receiver contract with the Tigers.

Jackson attended TCU for two years before transferring to the Golden Bears before the 2023 season. Along with

former Georgia State receiver Robert Lewis and former Kansas defensive lineman Gage Keys, he is the third

transfer and second transfer receiver to be signed by the Tigers. He will have two more years of eligibility remaining.

In addition to the two transfers, Auburn added four scholarship receivers in the

freshman class, so Jackson will not be the only new face in the receiver room next season

In 2023, the 195-pound, 5-foot-11-inch rising junior from Berkeley, California, played against the Tigers and completed 129 passes for yards. On Saturday,

September 7, 2024, at Jordan-Hare Stadium, he will suit up for the Tigers against his old team, albeit at a new position.
