The Braves are first on Bleacher Reports’ 2023 Top 10 homer list.

The Atlanta Braves, who had a team slugging percentage over.500 for the first

time in MLB history, were the best power hitters in baseball last season. With 307

home runs in the regular season, Atlanta topped the MLB’s list of teams with the most home runs. With 249 home runs,

the Braves finished ahead of the Dodgers by 58 home runs and tied the all-time

record set by the Minnesota Twins in 2019.

Ten players for Atlanta were hit.

Last season, ten players from Atlanta hit ten or more home runs. 11 home runs

were hit by Travis D’Arnaud, 17 by Orlando Arcia, 18 by Michael Harris, 21

by Sean Murphy, 21 by Eddie Rosario, 37 by Ozzie Albies, 40 by Marcell Ozuna, 41 by Ronald Acuña Jr., and 54 by Matt

Olson. This year, Olson broke the franchise record for the most home runs in a single season.

Here are some observations from the Braves offense from the previous season,

along with a stat from a player who will be a Brave in 2024.

In the MLB, Travis d’Arnaud’s 474-foot home run against Colorado on June 16th

was the seventh-longest in history. 27-degree launch angle, 109.6 mph

With a 482 foot home run against the

Chicago Cubs on April 12, Braves trade acquisition Jarred Kelenic, who joined the lineup as the newest player, tied for

the fifth-longest home run. It was launched with a 31-degree launch angle at 111.7 mph.

Ronald Acuña Jr. hit the HARDEST hit home run of 2023 on September 2nd

against the Los Angeles Dodgers. With a staggering 121.2 mph, he launched the ball 454 feet to the right of center. Three

players (Aaron Judge, Giancarlo Stanton, and Acuña) are the only five players who have ever hit a ball faster than 120 mph.
