|Leeds star could face a two-week fine following the most recent altercation
According to Alan Hutton, Illan Meslier might face a two-week fine for getting a red card during Leeds’ match against Preston North End.
After falling to West Brom 1-0 at The Hawthorns on Friday night, Daniel
Farke’s team has only won once in their previous five games.
After their impressive 4-0 victory over Ipswich Town on the 23rd, Leeds
appeared to be getting back on track, but three days later, they lost 2-1 to Preston.
After the half, Farke’s goalkeeper was sent off for pushing Milutin Osmajic into his own penalty area, which did not help.
Hutton, in an interview with Football Insider, stated that the French
goalkeeper might be fined two weeks for his behavior.
“It depends on the manager, but the club could fine him two weeks’ wages for doing something so stupid,” he stated.
“Anything is possible. His team lost the game after he put them in a really tough situation.
Leeds now has to focus on their Monday night match at Elland Road against Wayne Rooney’s struggling Birmingham City team.
As the former Manchester United forward comes under increasing pressure, they are currently ranked twenty-first in the table.
