Lions lose to the Cowboys despite scoring a two-point conversion that was called back due to a foul.

Texas’s Arlington (AP) With 23 seconds left, the Dallas Cowboys stopped the

Detroit Lions on their third attempt at a 2-point conversion, stopping them with a 20-19 victory that extended their home

winning streak to 16 games. Dak Prescott completed his pass for 345 yards and two touchdowns.

Following an 11-yard touchdown pass to Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jared Goff completed a pass to lineman Taylor

Decker on the first attempt at conversion, but the Lions were flagged for illegal touching.

The Cowboys were called for offsides, but the Lions were stopped on an

interception that didn’t even reach the end zone. The Lions attempted another pass for two from the 7-yard line.

Halftime saw Dallas celebrate the induction of two-time Super Bowl-

winning coach Jimmy Johnson into the team’s ring of honor, but Goff’s final pass to Josh Reynolds was incomplete.

The longest pass in club history, caught by CeeDee Lamb, was 92 yards; it was completed in 1966 by two more members

of the ring of honor, Don Meredith and Pro Football Hall of Fame receiver Bob Hayes, who connected for a 95-yard touchdown.

After Prescott found Brandin Cooks for a touchdown reception, Dallas led 17–13.

Brandon Aubrey’s career-high 35th field goal without a miss put the Cowboys ahead by seven.

Goff led the Lions 75 yards in nine plays to St. Brown’s touchdown reception, but his second interception set up Aubrey’s

kick. Goff completed 19 of 34 passes for 271 yards, two interceptions, and a touchdown.

Prescott had an interception and finished 26 for 38.
