THIS is the moment Noel Gallagher hilariously slams high-flying Aston
Villa after being subjected to boos at his recent Birmingham gig.
Gallagher and his band the High Flying Birds played at the Utilita Arena in Birmingham but was booed for
supposedly not playing his Oasis tune, Talk Tonight.
Never one to back down though, the 56-year-old clapped back at his audience
with an X-rated jibe about the West Midland city’s Premier League side, who currently sit second in the top flight.
The video opens with Gallagher engaging with the audience during a pause in his
performance; the audience seems to be upset with the former frontman of Oasis.
“Are you booing me?” inquires Gallagher. For not putting on Talk Tonight, what? Is that all that wasn’t enough?
The native of Manchester is then seen on the big screen waving off his audience
and stepping away from his microphone while uttering the words, “Feel free, carry on, go on.”
When Gallagher hears the throng beginning to shout an unidentified chant, he inquires, “Oh, is this some Aston Villa s**t going on?”
The loud chorus of applause and jeers from his audience causes the Britpop
icon to remark, “Do you think they’re going to win the league?”
A thunderous roar of approval greets Gallagher, who then ruthlessly squashes
any hopes by declaring, “You’re going to win f**k all.”
After the singer’s critical analysis of Unai Emery’s team, the audience erupts in
applause. Gallagher, a Manchester City supporter, then states that he thinks the
team’s winger is the lone local from Birmingham who has a chance.
In response, he snaps, “Jack Grealish is the only f***ing person in Birmingham who’s winning anything.”
“F**k all of you; the rest of you are winning.”
Last night, the amusing video was shared on social media with the comment, “Noel knows best.”
Since then, people who disagree with the musician’s analysis have put dozens of
comments on the video and over 600 likes on it.
“Noel knows nothing, hup the Villa (sic),” exclaimed one.
“It was a top night,” said an additional. Fantastic talent, funny man.
“Noel Gallagher would be the last person you would want to get into a slanging
match with,” a third individual retorted. His tongue is acidic and his wit is lightning fast.
“Good lad – City are w***s though,” said another.
