Talented defender agrees a two-year deal with Aston Villa

Kerr Smith, a young player for Aston Villa, has extended his contract with the team and will spend the remainder of the year on loan at St Johnstone.

Smith is now scheduled for a loan stint at St. Johnstone after agreeing to a new,

two-year contract with Villa, according to Football Insider.

With this loan deal, the 19-year-old, who originally joined Villa from Dundee United in 2022, is set to return to the Scottish league.

Smith has 11 appearances for Villa’s youth teams this season, including eight

in Premier League 2, despite not having made his senior debut yet.

He is one of numerous young players who are reportedly planning to travel in search of additional playing experience.

With half of the season completed, Aston Villa is currently ranked second in the table thanks to their fantastic play.

In order to continue on the incredible first half of the season and pursue a top-

four finish and possible title challenge, Emery will be hoping that the team strengthens its roster.
