Unbelievable:Burnley seriously hold Grudge against Southampton Over the Transfer of this incredible player

Burnley Set To Hold Grudge With Southampton For Sour Grapes Over Nathan Tella Transfer

Burnley attempted to sign Nathan Tella permanently back in the summer, but they would not come close to matching

the Saints’ asking price, let alone the £23 million that he ultimately signed for

Bayer Leverkusen. Now, the Lancashire club is about to exact revenge for what

they perceived to be Southampton’s unfair demand.

The summer transfer dispute between Burnley and Nathan Tella was bizarre to

say the least. Tella was clearly interested in joining the newly promoted Premier

League team, where he had spent the 2022–2023 season on loan, but Burnley

was unwilling to pay anything close to the asking price.

With one week until the Championship season begins, Saints’ asking price for

Tella was approximately £17 million.Burnley had yet to receive more

than £9 million for the current campaign.

Then it took a bizarre twist as we at The Ugly Inside reported in ourFree Nathan Tella story on July 31st.

In simple terms the daughter of Burnley chairman Alan Pace went to extreme lengths to try and get Tella to Burnley.

A video emerged on Ashlyn Pace-Ferguson’s TikTok account on entitled

‘Free Nathan Tella’ and she then stuck ‘Missing’ posters around the town of Burnley with Tella emblazoned on them.

It was all rather ironic that Pace and his daughter should demand something for free, as the American did just that when

he bought Burnley, as reported in The Guardian at the time, Alan Pace and his

ALK Capital group bought Burnley in controversial fashion.

It was described as a Leveraged buy out, where the club is bought and then

quickly in simple terms re-mortgage their money against the club and it’s

assets to repay them part or all of their investment.

Not so much as Free Tella, but Free Burnley, who suddenly went from being

a club with no debt, to one loaded with it and more to the point the interest is

owned & paid by the club itself and not the owner.

Saints persisted and ultimately received a price from Bayer Leverkusen for Tella that may have exceeded their expectations: about £23 million. Tella, on the other hand, was the epitome of a professional; he scored goals while playing for the Saints in their championship debuts.

Burnley, however, appears to be holding a grudge, and it appears that Saints are

looking to take Manuel Benson on loan from the Lancashire club. According to

The Burnley Express, who obviously has insider knowledge, there is no chance

that Benson will join Southampton, and after Saints rejected Burnley’s offer,

things went sour between the two clubs. Now, Burnley is going to exact revenge.

All of this makes it feel a little sad that the people in charge of a football team

still harbor resentment toward us when they were obviously trying to take

advantage of Southampton in the summer following their relegation. They

appeared to think that we would be in dire need of the money and were

counting on us to give them Tella for nothing.

They started acting odd when we didn’t play the game, and it looks like things will only get worse from here.
