Important Eagles Wide Receiver Is Still Not Practicing due to

The Philadelphia Eagles have dropped four of their past five games and are no

longer the formidable team they were early in the season, when they began the 2023 season with the best record in the league (10–1).

In addition to whatever may be going on behind closed doors, Tim McManus of

ESPN reports that the Eagles are dealing with the absence of one of their best

offensive weapons, DeVonta Smith, due to an ankle injury that has kept him out of action.

The Eagles will need to keep their best players healthy when the NFL playoffs

begin in the upcoming weeks, given how poorly the team has been playing over the last month or so.

Smith, a young wide receiver, is having another good season for the Eagles after

having a career year in Philadelphia the previous season. He has caught 81 passes for 1,066 yards and seven touchdowns so far.

Smith is a major contributor to this team’s success, even though Brown is Hurts’ preferred downfield option. As a

result, his status will be closely watched before Week 18 against the New York Giants and the ensuing NFL playoffs.
