Leeds United attacker Crysencio Summerville is wanted by Aston Villa and Brighton.

HIGHLIGHTS

  •  Aston Villa and Brighton are interested in Leeds winger Crysencio Summerville, but Leeds has no intention of letting him leave in this transfer window.
  •  Summerville has been a key player for Leeds this season, contributing 12 goals and six assists in 24 games across all competitions.
  •  Leeds should prioritize keeping Summerville until at least the summer to maintain their strong attacking lineup and boost their promotion hopes.

According to Football Insider, Aston Villa and Brighton & Hove Albion are

interested in Leeds United winger Crysencio Summerville.

During a busy summer transfer window, Leeds lost a number of important players to other opportunities.

Manager Daniel Farke maintained composure in the face of chaos,

assembling a team that can qualify for the Premier League again at the first attempt.

The club has an opportunity to raise their prospects during the January transfer window, and the Leeds manager probably wants to reinforce rather than deplete his team.

As a result, the Championship club will be concerned about rumors circulating that he is being courted, since they want him to keep pushing the team toward the promised land.

Aston Villa and Brighton eye Crysencio Summerville

Premier League teams appear to be taking notice of Leeds’ superb play this season from Crysencio Summerville.

Aston Villa and Brighton are the most recent teams to show interest in the 22-year-old, according to Football Insider.

Both Premier League teams have reportedly made the Leeds player a long-term target, but signing him could be difficult given Leeds’ alleged “no intention” of allowing the attacker to depart this month.

It goes on to say that the Yorkshire team, who see Summerville as a key component of their effort to earn promotion to the first flight, will reject any offers for him during this transfer window.

While both Villa and Brighton are winning the league, they may both provide Summerville with European football in the second part of the season.

Crysencio Summerville’s stats for the 2023/24 season

As mentioned, Summerville has been an excellent performer for Leeds so far this season, with the winger contributing 12 goals and six assists in 24 games in all competitions.

The Dutchman was on the scoresheet in the club’s most recent game, as he netted home in the 3-0 win over Birmingham City.

Crysencio Summerville’s stats per club (As it stands January 5th, per Transfermarkt)
Teams Apps Goals Assists
Leeds United 64 16 8
Leeds United U21 30 14 12
Feyenoord U17 22 5 3
ADO Den Haag 22 2 3
FC Dordrecht 18 5 1
Feyenoord U19 13 0 2
Feyenoord U21 2 0 1
The 22-year-old has been so excellent that he is actually the team’s leading striker this year, with the other attacking players occasionally finding it difficult to get the ball in the goal.
Leeds does have some time on their hands when it comes to the players’ future, as Summerville is still bound to Elland Road through the summer of 2026.

Leeds United must keep hold of Crysencio Summerville until at least the summer

Given his stellar performance in the Championship this season, it makes sense that organizations are interested in Crysencio Summerville.

Because of his age and skill, he is therefore a desirable target for teams looking to add youth to their roster, such as Brighton and Aston Villa.

But Leeds must consider what they can do this season; it would be foolish to allow Summerville to leave midway through the season, as it may harm their chances of being promoted.

The departure of the 22-year-old would create a significant gap in the team’s offensive line because he has been instrumental in front of goal. Leeds may obviously be compelled to sell if they receive an incredible offer, but in the meantime, they must continue to be resilient and keep Summerville for the summer, at least.
