As Millwall is defeated by Leicester City, Gary Lineker makes “significant” statement.

According to former Leicester City striker Gary Lineker, watching football is “significantly more enjoyable” when VAR is not used.

On Saturday afternoon, as Leicester defeated Millwall in the FA Cup fourth round, Lineker made the statement.

Cesare Casadei, Ricardo, and Tom Cannon scored goals to help the Foxes win 3-2 at The Den.

Although he did not specify which game he was watching, Lineker, a former football player who is now a presenter, is

always aware of City. For many of the FA Cup games of the day, the absence of VAR has been a welcome change.

Lineker shared his opinions on X, the former Twitter, writing, “Watching football without VAR is significantly more enjoyable.”

“How brilliant it is that the referee in Sunderland has just made a big decision (probably the right one) and we don’t have to wait five minutes for VAR to

come up with the wrong one,” Lineker also “liked” a post from Paul Newman of the Daily Mail.

Since VAR isn’t used in the Championship, Leicester supporters are

now used to living without it. Even though City is rapidly returning to the

Premier League, many supporters will not be missing this feature of the lower league in the future.
