Leicester city player link with top premier league clubs as deal is almost doneĀ

Ahead of a possible transfer, Sheffield United is said to have “asked” about Danny Ward, the goalkeeper for Leicester City.

The Premier League team has already been linked to an unexpected move for

Leicester legend Kasper Schmeichel and is reportedly searching for a stopper

during the current transfer window. The Blades, who now seem to have focused

on Ward, might find a move for Schmeichel to be too costly.

They are “keen” to keep Ward on loan through the end of the season, according

to The Sun. They claim that although Leicester would rather sell, a loan with an option to buy would “close the deal.” ”

Cardiff City, a championship rival, is reportedly interested in signing Ward to

a loan agreement and will take action if his proposed transfer to Sheffield United falls through.

So far this month, Leicester has let go of one goalkeeper who was on loan. A spot

in the squad was created when Daniel Iversen joined Stoke this week and will stay there until the end of the season.

But Mads Hermansen, Jakub Stolarczyk, Alex Smithies, and Ward remain the

team’s four senior goalkeepers. However, Smithies is not listed in the 25-man Championship roster.

This season, Ward has not yet made an appearance for Leicester. He did not play in any of the last four Championship

matchday squads, despite sitting on the bench for Saturday’s FA Cup victory over Millwall.
