Daniel Iversen shares details of his ‘tough’ time at Leicester City.

Daniel Iversen, the goalkeeper, has talked about his “tough” season, which ended with Leicester City’s relegation.

Iversen filled in for Danny Ward, who had struggled for much of the season, during the final 12 games of the Premier League season.

Even with Dean Smith’s best efforts, the rot continued after he took over as manager in April, replacing Brendan Rodgers.

Iversen spoke with Stoke City about his time there and his relegation, saying, “It

was a tough time when I came in (to the starting XI).” Even though I only played

12 games, it was still a worthwhile experience for me. Although difficult at the time, the lesson was beneficial.

When asked about his transfer to Stoke on loan, he said, “It’s finally over. I’m

thrilled to be here, hopefully taking part in some games. I’m incredibly happy to be here.

Stoke has shown interest in the last few windows, and for a considerable amount

of time. I believe that the timing is ideal. I came to Stoke at a good time because I wasn’t playing at Leicester.”
