|Transfer gossip: Sunderland eye £5m-rated ex-Barnsley, Wigan Athletic and Cardiff City striker
Sunderland have been linked with a transfer deal for an international striker during the January window.
According to new transfer rumors that surfaced on Sunday morning, Sunderland has been connected to a deal for Kieffer Moore, a striker for Wales.
After joining AFC Bournemouth in the Premier League in 2022, the former
striker for Wigan Athletic, Barnsley, and Cardiff City has made 44 appearances and scored 10 goals.
During the summer transfer window, Sunderland acquired four strikers: Nazairy Rusyn, Mason Burstow, Elizier
Mayenda, and Luis Hemir Semedo. But in the first half of the season, none of the
four players have scored more than one goal between them.
This has sparked rumors that, as Sunderland competes for a top-six Championship position, transfer bosses Kristjaan Speakman and Stuart Harvey would utilize the January window to bolster the experience of their striker lineup.
Moore, who has only made seven Premier League appearances so far this season, might leave Bournemouth on
loan, according to Alan Nixon, but he is also open to leaving The Cherries
permanently after joining the team two years ago for £5 million.
