|Defensive lineman from Auburn Transfers To Mississippi StateĀ
Wilky Denaud redshirted his one and only season at Auburn and is now a
Bulldog at Mississippi State. After high school, Denaud was rated as a four-star prospect.
The native of Fort Pierce, Florida, attended John Carroll High School for his
prep school years. Denaud recorded 79 tackles in his final year of high school, including five sacks.
Prior to signing with Auburn, Denaud received offers from Florida, Arkansas,
and Florida State after graduating from high school. David Turner, the defensive line coach for the Bulldogs, is the person
who best understands the multitude of needs that the team has to fill via the portal, particularly on the defensive end.
Denaud, 6-4, 295 pounds, is expected to play a five-technique in college. He will
face stiff competition for both starting defensive line positions. Denaud hasn’t played much collegiate football, but he
has talent, and the Bulldogs needed to at least use the portal to bolster their defensive line.
