The FA Cup replay between Nottingham Forest and Blackpool has a confirmed date.

The third round tie will be resolved at Bloomfield Road next week when Nuno

Espirito Santo’s Reds visit. They overcame a 2-0 deficit to draw 2-2 with

the Seasiders on Sunday at the City Ground, but they were unable to secure a victory that day.

A date has been confirmed for Nottingham Forest vs. Blackpool’s FA Cup replay.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s Reds will visit Bloomfield Road next week to settle the third round tie. On Sunday at the City

Ground, they overcame a 2-0 deficit to draw 2-2 with the Seasiders, but they were not able to win that day.

Forest’s winter break will be shorter than planned due to the trip to the west

coast. The match against Blackpool last weekend and their next Premier League

away game against Brentford on Saturday, January 20, were scheduled to take place over a full fortnight apart.

During the break, head coach Nuno had intended to take his team to St George’s Park for three days. In an attempt to

communicate his ideas, the emphasis was going to be on team building exercises and double training sessions.

The Portuguese, though, had to change his plans because he had to squeeze in

an extra game. And he mentioned that he would be in favor of doing away with replays after Sunday’s draw.

It is true. Everyone is aware that there is a daily heavy volume of games and

fixtures. They must take a look at it, he stated.

“In my opinion, everything should be completed on the same day, including any additional time, penalties, and such.

Give the players a little extra time to rest and recover. Teams in the Premier League are suffering because of it. You

are aware of the problems with injuries, and one of the causes is the quantity of fixtures we see.

He went on, “We have to reorganize that,” regarding the need to change our

plans to visit St. George’s Park. We considered what would be best for the team when we made that decision to

visit St. George’s Park. The team’s top priority right now should be to get ready for the replay in Blackpool.

The team should take a brief break and begin getting ready for the replay

because that is what is best for them right now.

It modifies the strategy. We now need to rearrange, and we won’t have a break

because the replay in Blackpool now takes precedence. We must rearrange our agendas.

In the fourth round, the winners of the match at Bloomfield Road will travel to

play Bristol City or West Ham United. The ties for the fourth round will take place on January 27 and 28.
