Darrell Bampton, the rugby league community is in mourning
After a protracted illness, the renowned rugby league player—who was instrumental in establishing the
Rabbitohs as a premiership force—passed away on Saturday morning at the age of 74.
‘On behalf of everyone connected to the Rabbitohs, we offer our deepest and most sincere condolences to the family
and friends of Mr. Darrell Bampton, OAM,’ Souths led the way in a statement following his death
Supporters praised the Souths legend for his contributions to the game and swiftly sent their condolences to the Bampton family.
