Former Green Bay Packers Head Coach Fired Officially Before Playoffs Began

The Green Bay Packers have greater confidence than they have had the entire

season going into the 2023–24 postseason. The Packers finished the season with three straight victories,

vaulting them into the NFC’s seventh seed. The Packers and Dallas Cowboys will now play on Sunday.

But after only two seasons with his new team, one former Packers coach saw his career come to an end.

Getsy joined the Bears in January 2022 as their offensive coordinator.  Under head

coach Matt LaFleur, Getsy was rehired by the Green Bay Packers in January 2019 to coach their quarterbacks. He was

elevated to the position of quarterbacks coach and passing game coordinator on March 12, 2020

Getsy wasn’t the only person to lose his job, according to a report published on

Wednesday by Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. The Bears

decided to let go of quarterbacks coach Andrew Janocko, who will also be looking for a new position.

The Bears will have two important positions available in the offseason after losing to the Green Bay Packers 17-9 to end the season.
