Auburn transfer: star player is set to return and what it could mean for Auburn tigers

Auburn Briefing: Brian Battie’s return could mean a lot for the running backs room

Brian Battie pulled his name from the transfer portal.
Auburn’s running back room for the 2024–2025 season will remain the same, barring any unforeseen circumstances.
Auburn’s strongest position going into 2023 was running back, but the news that Brian Battie will return after giving the transfer portal a try might be quite beneficial for an offense that would still need to run the ball frequently.
Joining Battie in a loaded running back room that ranked in the top five in the SEC for rushing attack are Jarquez Hunter, Damari Alston, and Jeremiah Cobb.
In terms of total rushing attempts (513), rushing yards (2457), and rushing yards per game (189), Auburn was seventh in the SEC. Auburn might be able to run more plays in 2024, depending on the scheme and play calling.
