Auburn lands Mississippi State OT transfer Percy Lewis

An important offensive line transfer has been made to Auburn in its first offseason acquisition. Percy Lewis, a former offensive tackle for Mississippi State, became a member of the Tigers on Thursday night, becoming Auburn’s eighth transfer addition of the current cycle.

 

Lewis started the Bulldogs’ final seven games of the 2023 season at left tackle. He rotated in their previous five games and allowed only one sack in his 235 pass-blocking snaps, according to Pro Football Focus.

 

The 6-foot-8, 345-pound player, who will be eligible for two seasons on the Plains, visited Auburn and Arkansas last week. Prior to the 2022 season, the Sallis, Mississippi, native transferred to Mississippi State from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.

In order to assist replace outgoing starters Gunner Britton and Kam Stutts, offensive line coach Jake Thornton and

Auburn have been trying to strengthen the offensive line by acquiring an

offensive lineman. This will allow Dillon Wade to move inside to guard.
