Transfer update:Auburn receives crystal ball prediction to land five-star

Auburn receives crystal ball prediction to land five-star WR Ryan Williams

Auburn has received a prediction to land five-star Ryan Williams.
It looks like Auburn will land five-star Ryan Williams.
According to Hayes Fawcett of On3, Williams, a five-star wide receiver in the 2024 class, has withdrawn his commitment from the Crimson Tide. Later this month, he will have an official visit from the Tigers. Shortly after Williams announced his decommitment from the Tide, 247Sports’ Bud Elliott submitted a crystal ball for the Tigers to claim.
As soon as Alabama head coach Nick Saban announced his retirement on Wednesday afternoon, Williams announced his decommitment.

Hugh Freeze and the Tigers have been trying their hardest to flip Williams away from the Crimson Tide, who has been committed to Alabama since October of 2022. They’ve already flipped fellow five-star receiver Perry Thompson away from the Tide.

Williams caught 88 passes for 1,641 yards and 24 touchdowns, ran for 700 yards and 15 touchdowns on 57 rushes (12.3 yards per carry), returned two punts for touchdowns and passed for a score while leading his high school to a state title.

Williams, according to 247Sports, is a dynamic playmaker with a “nuclear explosion out of cuts” and “projects as a high-major impact player with high-round NFL Draft upside.”

The national scouting expert compared former Alabama WR Calvin Ridley to an NFL player.

Williams has the opportunity to make an impact wherever he goes. Auburn will have acquired three five-star receivers to their roster in the 2024 class if the Tigers are able to flip him away from the Tide.
